How To Count in Korean

 

 

                                                            Korean

                        1 = ha-na/하나 (HAH-nah)

                                    2 = dul/ (dhool)

                                   3 = set/ (seht)

                                   4 = net/(neht)

                                   5 = da-sut/다섯 (DA-suht)

                                   6 = yuh-seot/여섯(YUH-soht)

                                   7 = il-gop/일곱 (EEL-gohp)

                                   8 = yuh-deol/여덟 (YUH-dohl)

                                   9 = ah-hop/아홉(AH-hop)

                                  10 = yeol/ (yul)

                            From 10 on it is yol-hana, yol-dul, yol-set and so forth

 

                                                                Sino-Korean

                                    1 = il/ (il)

                                    2 = i/ (ee)

                                    3 = sam/ (sam)

                                    4 = sa/ (sah)

                                    5 = o/ (oh)

                                    6 = yuk/(yook)

                                    7 = ch'il/ (CHeel - with a hard CH sound)

                                    8 = p'al/ (Pual - with a hard P sound)

                                    9 = ku/ (goo)

                                   10 = sip/ (like sheep, but with a shorter vowel)
